What this extension does

Vendor Doc Sorter is a Chrome extension that helps interior designers save vendor invoices, order confirmations, and spec sheets from Gmail into folders organized by project and room, on their own computer — and optionally sync their project list from their own Notion workspace.

What data we access

Gmail: When you use Vendor Doc Sorter, the extension reads attachment information (file names and download links) from the Gmail page you have open, only when you click "Scan this email." It does not read your emails automatically, and it does not run in the background.

Notion (optional): If you turn on "Sync from Notion," the extension sends your Notion integration token and database ID directly to Notion's own API to read your project names. This only happens when you click "Sync now" — it does not run automatically or in the background. The extension only ever reads from Notion; it never creates, edits, or deletes anything in your workspace.

What we do with that data

Everything stays on your own computer. The extension downloads the files you choose directly to your local Downloads folder, using Chrome's own built-in download system. Your Notion integration token is stored locally in Chrome's storage on your own device and is sent only to Notion's official API — never to any server of ours. There is no backend server for this extension — it works entirely inside your browser, talking directly to Gmail, Notion, and (for payment) ExtensionPay/Stripe.

What we don't do

• We don't sell or share any data with third parties
• We don't use your data for advertising
• We don't track your browsing activity
• We don't store your emails, attachments, or Notion data anywhere except your own computer and your own Notion workspace
• We never see or store your payment card details — checkout is handled entirely by ExtensionPay and Stripe; we only know whether you've paid, not any card information

Project and room names

Project and room names you manage manually are stored locally in Chrome's storage on your own device and used only to name your download folders. If you use Notion sync instead, project names are pulled from your own Notion workspace and stored the same way, locally only.

Permissions this extension uses, and why

• Gmail access (mail.google.com): to read attachment information from the email you have open, so it can be saved
• Downloads: to save the files to your computer in an organized folder
• Notion API access (api.notion.com): only if you enable Notion sync, to read your project list
